It's been a better series (in my view) than the previous two

Next week should be interesting - new Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is on show and Jonathan Ross is in the reasonably priced car. Wonder if he'll get lost again!

I have to agree (again)

Each new series just seems "fresher"

For me the best run of series they did was from number 8 through to number 12 - just thought the two last year were very below par. The lorry drivers episode remains one of my favourites

I like the ones where they are genuinely laughing - the funniest segment for me is when they were behind Clarksons 3 floor camper van and they were pissing themselves laughing

Robin reliant was also amusing as soon as he set off

Just as soon as Jonathan Ross leaves the BBC he's back on it again.

My favourites are the Police Car episode and when they filled cars up with water and drove around the track.

The water one was the British Leyland episode - in fact any episode involving challenges or races or buying a car for budget are good fun to watch. In fact the only two decent episodes from last year in my view involved the '17 again' challenges and 'classic car rallying'

Pissed of with the BBC for making so many series' down to 6-8 episode.

Top Gear used to be at least 10 (from what i remember) Now they just seem to be over so fast.
Outnumbered is like it as well 6 episodes a series. We pay to watch good TV but they make the series short then go and stick a bunch of repeats on.

Look at the American TV they have series running from anything inbetween 16-23 episodes

My mum likes Top Gear. She's not interested in cars at all, she just enjoys all the stupid stuff they do.

Surely you've seen all the pretty girls they have in the studio audience every episode as well. ;)

U.K. series seem to have always been 6-8 episodes the young ones, Bottom, red dwarf, spaced and black books all are...

Yeah, I just think it is a British thing. We have our series nice and short and the Americans have them nice and long. But we also are them differently, we air them one after the other so in 6-8 weeks it is finished. The Americans have like 22 episodes of their programs but they are aired over a long time. They usually do 6 episodes straight, then like the next 4 are from the last 6 episodes, and then a two week break. Or something like that, it gets very confusing.

So The Stig has been revealed as some guy called Ben Collins. Looking at his wikipedia page tells me that he's really just a journeyman racing driver. Top Gear is probably the best job he's ever had and now he's probably lost that too. I think it's pretty dissapointing that The Sig's identity is out in the open as the mystery was part of the show, and he's now ruined it. If he wasn't The Stig then no one would be interested in reading his autobiography, in fact no publisher would think of offering him a deal. He just wants to make a name for himself I'm afraid.

I already knew this. It was said ages ago when he had to appear in court for what happened with Richard Hammond and the Rocket car. Old news is old.

I didn't know Ben Collins had to appear in court for that, in fact I'd completely forgotten it went to court at all.
I think this is the first time it's been made official that Ben Collins is, or was, The Stig. I'd heard the name before in connection to The Stig's identity, especially after Michael Schumacher was "revealed" to be The Stig. The guy is still a complete nobody though.

Nobody cares now that it's a rather unknown driver, had it been Schumacher or Hill everyone would be making noise about it

They better not make another Stig. It wouldn't be the same. Although they had one before this one.

i want another stig.

maybe we could have stig's african brother come back.

:P

and i love top gear and am female. i own a lot of the dvds, including the challenges and the winter olympics.

my favourite bit is in the winter olympics where they do the ski jump with the mini and they build the "buffer" for the wrong jump.

that and the hockey and footie with the aygos.

:D

I used to like Top Gear until they started pumping it full of constant racism and right wing bullshit. Cannot stand Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond's no frakking better.
