I genuinly had to a double take, he looks so much healthier now... which makes me happy as hopefully it means we will have many more years of Stephen Fry.

And that episode was absolutely great, I felt so sorry for James! It was still hilarious though.

Tonight's programme apparently involves

1. Reasonably priced small cars
2. Mercedes SL Black
3. James May meets Ken Block
4. Michael McIntyre is the star in the reasonably priced car

Yeah that's the bit I'm looking forward to the most although testing a reasonably priced small car will be worth watching (though I can imagine with it being Top Gear it won't be a serious test)

Wasn't that car in an earlier program? (I'm guessing this will be the 09 version or something though)

2 4 6 8, Jaqui Smith's Husband Likes To Master...

frakking quality episode!

that Ken Block is one hell of a driver but the footage of the car jumping that gap with the bike and with the plane in the background was just plain amazing!

Yeah - the cheap car thingamajig wasn't as good as I thought it would be (though them shouting about Aston Martins was funny)

Michael McIntyre was the best bit of that episode - getting that car on two wheels through Gambon - dang! And I don't think I've ever seen Jeremy Clarkson laugh til he cried before

ditto for both of that. :D

if you watch a programme called 'nitro circus', they did a crossover jump with a car (taxi), two dirtbikes, a bicycle, a quad (i think) and i forget what else. it was all different jumps at the same time... With the sun setting behind it...

Frakking amazing people. (if you know extreme sports, travis pastrana plus other are in. i only said travis coz he is the most famous in my opinion).

i think was it andy bell who had done it and travis was SO competitive. He just kept going til he got it...

Is it just me or does Top Gear feel as though the recession is taking its toll a little?

I mean, it's still a great program, but just seems a little less great to me than previous seasons

Apparently the producer's have been trying to down size it for the last couple of series anyway...

Yeah, that is very true. I find it funny how, not necessarily because of the recession, but just in general, every time I look at any newer kids TV shows, they always seem so bad compared to the ones I watched as a child... It's probably the same for every generation though. I remember I used to watch Ed, Edd n Eddy, Dexter's Lab, Spongebob, that sort of thing, but now there are new cartoons which seem so bad! Mind you, that's just probably because I'm older now (though still fairly young in the grand scheme of things) :D

A little of topic there, but I can't be the only one who thinks new cartoons / kids TV shows suck? And Top Gear rocks? :D

On this weeks show:

On the next episode of Top Gear, AC/DC's Brian Johnson appears on the programme for an interview and a lap of the track. See how fast he completes his lap this coming Sunday, 26th July at 8pm on BBC 2.

Also, on the programme the presenters set out to discover if classic cars really are better than their modern counterparts and the ultimate driving machine meets the ultimate killing machine as the new BMW Z4 roadster faces off against some massive animatronic dinosaurs.

how cool is that gonna be with Brian Johnson!!

He's a semi-pro racer in the US too so I reckon he could do well.

brian johnson was awesome. he looks good for a 62 year old.

if he hadn't hit the grass on the last turn he'd have probably been top.
