Hit The Lights wrote:brian johnson was awesome. he looks good for a 62 year old.

if he hadn't hit the grass on the last turn he'd have probably been top.

he was such a dude!! good on him for doing so well, I honestly thought he was going top for a minute there.

I work at Beaulieu Motor Museum and we have an exhibition with lots of the cars from top gear such as the Hilux that went to the pole, stretch limos, police cars, the cross channel cars

Brian Johnson did great - just 0.2 second and he would've gone top

Last episode ended on a bit of a weird note. In fact the whole series didn't seem to be up to the standards of the last two

Made it seem very much like an overall ending... Which I'm not enthusiatic about :(

Aye - apparently there will be a new series in November/December but hope it's up to the standards of the 2008 series. Also I noted that there was supposed to be a Lewis Hamilton effort and Airport Truck racing but they were cut from the series (former was weather related, not sure bout the latter)

Haha, yeah, what a legend!

Hope this season's better than the last, which was good, but just seemed to lack insanity (That's the best was I can think to describe it!)

Best ones from last season were the one where they pretended to be 17, one where they had the RWD cars, and the classic car rally. Overall it lacked something though - thought the Autumn Series last year was much better with the lorries, US roadtrip, single-tank run to Blackpool, the Ford Fiesta roadtest, and the powerboat race with the Ferrari Daytona

I'd have said a good memory was more a gift than a curse - If there was an award for Top Gear trivia then it'd definitely be useful :D I know what you mean though, it's always nice to have the tv on, or a cd in the background :)

I remember all the bad stuff as clearly as the good stuff hence the curse aspect

Can't wait for the new series - only a couple of weeks away now

Wen't to see their public art display at Middlesbrough Institute for Modern Art (MIMA). It was awesome! They had loads of stuff there, james' artwork is the best but apparently clarkson ruined it. Their thoughts on what the best looking car in the world is, lambourghini, ferrari & a landrover, are completely wrong. Some art works completely cracked me up, and they even had the Peel P50! That little tiny car clarkson drove around in the BBC offices!

It'll be shown on TV on 20th Decembe just before Christmas. Watch it!

Anyone see the last couple of episodes? Seemed to fizzle out in the end

The South American episode was worth watching (as are any of the cross-country challenge shows) and there were some funny moments here and there. Was good to see Seasick Steve on the last show and Brain Johnson picking up an award for being fastest in the reasonably priced car

I agree - getting pretty fed up with the series to be honest.

I got told they were going to be making their own armoured vehicles, that would have been epic. I agree with the fizzling out of the series, basic common sense would have made them space the epic episodes out.
