Arya/Minor book spoilers | Show
Did Arya and the Hound even make it to The Eyrie in the books? 'Cause if they get inside that would deviate from the books a lot. I'm guessing they'll contrive a reason to send them away.

Also, I wasn't too much of a fan of the scene with Sansa and Littlefinger because Littlefinger looked like he didn't have much of a plan, which goes against his character; even if they'd shown a scene where it indicated that they'd planned the suicide story beforehand it would have worked better.

Littlefinger is bugging me slightly in the show, the casting for him is brilliant and he really is playing him spot on (and it must be said I really like all of the scenes he has appeared in). However that said, I like how in the books because of the lack of POV you never ever know what his or Varys next moves are going to be, it never lets you inside there mind. I think they have managed to hold onto that with Varys as he is a fairly minor character still but they are showing a few to many of Littlefingers cards which is just turning him into a regular nasty instead of the one of the 2 most dangerous chars in the series.

Littlefinger's accent confuses me. Also, I agree with you that he's not so mysterious in the show, but I stopped being intrigued by him in A Feast for Crows when he started spouting his plans to Sansa at every opportunity.
Also, I was disappointed Mole's town wasn't underground, but I suppose that would've been a nightmare to set up for the sake of a couple of scenes.

The show seems to have simplified Varys and Littlefinger down to 'goodie Machiavelli' and 'baddie Machiavelli'. But it was kind of going that way in the books, I guess. I love the guy who plays Varys in the show - one of the best bits of casting in anything, ever.

I don't think they've changed Littlefinger's character THAT much. We still don't know what his real motivation is or even his actual end game.

Spot the cameos in tonights episode...My mate sent me a video of these guys last year when they were filming, as he got them to record a happy birthday for one of our mates who is a massive fan. Needless to say, i couldn't say anything as they make him sign non disclosure or be sued agreements.
