New Theme - Testers Wanted

Postby rockgeek » Wed Nov 13, 2013 2:14 pm

If interested in test driving the new theme then please go to ucp.php?i=prefs&mode=personal and change the theme to the other one in the list

UPDATED

You have now 10 colours to choose from. Some icons may not work here and there but they should largely be sweet as a nut

It's nice, but I think it needs a bit more distinction between posts, maybe make the box around them a bit darker?. The font doesn't seem dark enough in contrast to the background, my eyes can't focus.

yeah i agree about the box around separate posts. getting confused as to if writing in sig is a post or the sig (might just be me though lol)

It may have been my laptop looking a bit rubbish, on my work PC it looks much better. The borders around posts are much better defined.

I like that you can get straight to the 'View New Posts' page from in a thread.

There's problems supporting a legacy build - think of it as having a car that does the job but it's a 20 year old volvo rather than a subaru legacy

ah get it, but a 20 year old volvo would probably be more reliable than a subaru legacy, but i get what you mean , i will leave it to the youngster to talk techie stuff i will just have to get used to it

oh and my volvo is only 6 years old

You know what we could do with? A strict limit on the amount of stuff in everybody's sigs. Most of them are bigger than the users' posts.

I agree with sigs but I just turned them off (let me know if you want to do this) - so much easier to read the forums. I'd rather not moderate sigs personally but if it does get out of hand then happy for a seperate discussion

not a bad theme tbh. just seems a little bit too washed out for my tastes - but I hope slight colour variations on this theme can address that

Thank you! Now I don't have to see some ridiculously over the top images displaying a member's allegiance to Camp Fighting Mongoose or Camp Moocrab. :D

Yeah, I was going to suggest a bit more colour.

I'm waiting for the artwork to come through to see what the colurs will be. There are different combinations here: http://phpbb3.pixelgoose.com/preview-me ... ue%20Metro which I'll probably add at some point

This is a custom version of the black and white one.

I'm using it on my phone and it's much clearer. Agree it could use a little more colour. If the shortcut icons could be repeated at the bottom of the page it would be handy

I might throw up the blue version - I think it looks swish but I can see anyone like Apple will moan about it looking too much like Windows 8

Ok!

If you go to ucp.php?i=prefs&mode=personal now, you should see a dozen or so different versions. Shall I keep them all?
