They are shockingly dull live.

Saw them at Leeds Festival one time and they were shite. Though I'm not a big fan anyway. Some of my friends saw am at a stadium show and said they were much better.

Re: Sonisphere 2016

That Reading announcement may be the single shittest announcement for a major festival I've seen, ever. http://www.leedsfestival.com/sites/live.b.leedsfestival.com/files/images/Lineup-Posters/reading_leeds_2016_january_announcement_27_web_poster_2.jpg frakk me you're not kidding. Re: Sonisphere 2016

They haven't said anything so they must be negotiating?!? Even if that was 100% true, to get that conclusion from zero is hysterical. actually, I kinda agree with metallicbear for once. If they weren't negotiating, they could just come out and say "nope, not this year, sorry". They must b...

Re: Sonisphere 2016

Is everyone actually hanging on hoping for an announcement? I'm treating it the same as I've treated the last 4 years. Assume it's not going ahead unless told otherwise. Then rejoicing if an announcement occurs. I know I'd love it to come back, but if you'd asked me this time last year (after announ...

Re: Sonisphere 2016

That's interesting, but would it be a 1 dayer or a full weekend. I'd assume they're attempting a 3 day still, but a "sonisphere presents" idea is a one day deal. I am honestly not putting myself through this next year. Fed up now. I'd say the best way is to assume nothings happening, and ...

No word of a lie, the first time I saw Beez doing an interview (on the big screen at DL 2012 I think), I assumed he was someone with learning difficulties who'd won a competition. I don't know if I'm totally misremembering this, but I'm sure I thought the same thing. I've some vague memory of sayin...

Aye to be fair we pre-picked the spot prior to the festival as we knew it'd be there, and most made it to that point bar a few so it wasn't a complete disaster, and those who didnt make it found someone and had a great time regardless so no harm done :) As far as we know  In all seriousness,...

Re: The 2014 Rant Thread

The thing with the platforms is, half of the disabled people will hate whichever solution soni uses. Current plan, one big platform in the middle - half the people say the view isn't great, its too far away, and that sucks. Put a platform at either stage - the other half of the people say "how ...

Brazil are the third team to be 5 goals down at half time in a world cup match.

Re: DLF £300 Rumours

Given the number of headliners getting repeated, I could see the possibility of a minor price drop, and booking smaller headliners to compensate. Across the board, not just Download.

Can't imagine they'll hike the prices, that would be suicide surely?

I thought they did fine. I was surprised the crowd was singing along to songs like creeping death and memory remains, not the sort of song everyone there knows.
