They had one shocking crowd last year. Played 2nd stage (the arena) and had about 3 rows of people standing and maybe 500 spread out amongst the rest of the area, and that's being generous.

Re: Sonisphere Poland 2012

MetallicA are to play there again. Didnt expect that after playing 2010 with the Big 4. 95% chance that they will be playing Prague aswell they as the always seem to share headliners. Quite happy with that (even if I dont like the black album). Their own stadium show in Prague, so you got that bit ...

Re: volbeat uk tour.

Volbeat are setting up a M&G contest for subscribers to their Rebels & Angels page, starting in Dublin next saturday.

Also on ticketweb it lists Turbowolf and Viking Skull as further bands on the bill for the Birmingham show.

Hope to see some of you at the shows.

Only Anthrax and some of the members of Diamond Head were present. Remember that Megadeth were due to play in Mountain View I think it was the next day for Uproar or Mayhem Festival, whichever one that was. In Milan Lars got Lombardo on the drums for the jam, Kerry and Gary just walked on stage, dr...

Re: Metallica

Ride The Lightning replaced Wherever I May Roam Am I Evil? replaced Helpless Damage, Inc. replaced Battery I think they're probably getting used to the new setlist structure for now and seeing what works, and they'll start changing more songs as the tour goes on. Only 3 more european shows, so a bi...

wouldnt suprise me if they put "thanks" in there somewhere Haven't been playing it at the festivals so far and with the shorter set times if they're not playing Still Counting, then there's even less chance of Thanks. I guess if you want to hear that song you can wait for the UK shows whe...

It'll be interesting to see what songs they choose to play in a much shorter set than what they're used to. Looking forward to it but no doubt they'll not play at least one sound i wan't to hear... probably a few more. Something similar to this i'd say: The Human Instrument Guitar Gangsters & C...

Are there any official links yet for any of these dates? Other than the media outlets in India and band site, no. Must be more details to be sorted out. Then again with various sonispheres this year in europe have taken a long time to sort out. The F1 race is now in december, so it's doubtful they'...

Just the Jupiter Stage to be announced now then? Not too many clashes, and most bands get a decent set length. There are going to be a lot of clashes. There are 4 or 5 stages (not sure how many, but it is a lot). For me, I meant. At least some stages are going on after Maiden finish so it's not jus...
