Re: Rumours Roundup: 2015

the Gaslight Anthem confirmed for Hurricane and Southside, taking place June 19-21. Should make them all potential for Download and Sonisphere. looking at possible bands, how about something like this - The Gaslight Anthem When they don't end up playing I'm holding you two personally responsible fo...

Re: Rumours Roundup: 2015

I'm pretty sure Anthrax said they'd be back again next year if they were asked. I see no reason why they wouldn't be asked; if Anthrax playing Sonisphere was ever taken too far it was taken too far in 2011 so it'd just be weird without them.

Re: Rumours Roundup: 2015

The bands mentioned in this thread aren't really exciting me so far. To be honest, though, I don't think there are many headline acts I'd watch nowadays. I'd like to see Muse at Download, and I suppose I'd watch System of a Down if they were announced anywhere but I'm looking forward to undercard an...

Would watch Muse and Faith No More. The rest can do one though. I might volunteer this year unless the rest of lineup is so good I have to buy a ticket.

Re: Rumours Roundup: 2015

Two classic rock headliners?

I'd watch Muse but Kiss and Motley Crue can get away. I'd be fine with just one of them (or if Crue were sub-headlining) but both headlining sounds awful.

Re: Let Us Discuss What Ye Be Thinking Right Now

Knotfest sounds infectious.

I've never really listened to Devildriver but, in my mind, I always associate their fans with the stereotypical metalhead ever since someone told me they were definitely big enough to headline Download.

I'd rather see Ozzy solo too, actually. I'm not a huge Sabbath or Ozzy fan though.

Re: Improving festival tents

At this years soni a guy gave me a great tent with one of those clam beds, basically brand new with instructions all because mine was so gooseberry! I googled "clam bed" 'cause I didn't know what you meant. This came up: http://th03.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/i/2013/222/9/e/flower_bed__clam_...

Re: What gigs have you got lined up?

Just Breed 77 in November. They're a real blast from the past; I don't really like them all that much, but I went to see them in 2009 and, at the time, it was the most fun I'd had at a gig. Gutted that I might not be able to make The Gaslight Anthem in Manchester next month, but ah well. Max Factor ...

Sabbath, Slipknot and Kiss would be horrible. Then again, I'm struggling to think of headliners I'd actually get excited about, so nyeh.

So, Sonic Boom Six, Nikki Sixx, and the Six Fingered Man from The Princess Bride to headline?

Download can have Slipknot. I'd have Die Toten Hosen, In Flames and Rise Against from Nova Rock, though.

Yeah, I'm not liking the whole "If we get a good enough lineup, it'll go ahead" chatter. I know they're just telling the truth but I just want something to get hyped for.

Re: Rumours Roundup: 2015

I know Herman Li was at Soni this year, reckon Dragonforce could be in for a shout for a day band next year? I love rumours like this. I'm not taking the mick, they're much more interesting than looking at who tours with Kililive. I don't like Dragonforce, but it's a possibility, Gary Numan was in ...

Re: Rumours Roundup: 2015

I think I'd prefer an Ozzy solo set to Black Sabbath; I'm not a massive fan of either but Ozzy plays most of the big Sabbath songs as well as his own ones anyway. However, am I right in assuming that Ozzy Osbourne isn't even close to being as big a draw as Black Sabbath would be?

Re: Rumours Roundup: 2015

I worked the bar when Red Hot Chili Peppers played Sunderland and, from what I could hear and some people's comments after the show, they were boring. I like some of their songs but I'd be a bit underwhelmed if they headlined.

Re: The State of Sonisphere 2015

I was thinking Black Sabbath for 2015 earlier. No basis for thinking that, just that they're a big enough band to still sell plenty of tickets despite headlining Download in 2012 and BST in 2013. I dunno, I'm not a huge fan of them, just bouncing ideas til some sort of announcement is made.
