Re: Countdown to Sonisphere

I started about an hour ago, then went to decant my drinks into plastic bottles and now I'm sat here drinking the leftover Caribbean Twist. It's so girly, but so nice!

Re: Festival regrets/lessons learned

I didn't sleep at all on the Saturday night at Download a few weeks ago, and had been drinking for 22 solid hours. Sunday was not fun.

Definitely need to learn from that and take it a bit easier at festivals from now on.

For what it's worth, I remember Andy Copping saying on Twitter at some point that a reformed Pantera would probably be second stage headliners at Download.

Re: How well do people reckon it's selling?

If next year they can only get say, Biffy Clyro, Slipknot, Def Leppard, I don't think they'll take the risk. You honestly don't think they would go ahead with one of the biggest modern Metal bands, one of the biggest modern British bands and a classic like Def Leppard, of course they would, that se...

Re: Is That The Lineup Complete.....

I'm not really complaining personally since I like Hundred Reasons... but weren't they scheduled to play the Bohemia tent in 2012, and not even headlining it?

Re: Monday 12th May - Announcement

Halestorm played the Forum last month in London, twice as big as the Electric Ballroom where bands like Babymetal and Gojira play. Easily big enough for main. However I'm pretty sure they're not in Europe at the time, so they seem unlikely.

It would be slightly hilarious if they were below Limp Bizkit again.

Re: April Announcement

Alkaline Trio would be awesome, as would Funeral For A Friend. Black Stone Cherry before Limp Bizkit, maybe? I think they're doing European festivals around the time, yet have no UK appearances. Although that might just be to keep demand up for their rather large arena tour later in the year. And th...

Re: BST Hyde Park

Ooft, Dok took his tweets to the official Sonisphere account. He is not happy at all, doesn't sound like any of the Soni Team feel any differently either. I really hope this doesn't become an annual thing. If this is AEG's welcome back gift to a festival they used to have a stake in then it's prett...

Re: March 19th Announcement

Decided to sell my ticket, this line-up really hasn't turned out like I hoped it would. Hoping it sells out though to make it easier for me to find a buyer. If you already bought a ticket based on the lineup before this announcement, you must have thought it was worth the money, why now decide to s...

Re: Fake Lineup Posters

I'm liking that Sonisphere lineup, but are there really that many 'big' bands left to be announced? I thought the mainstages were pretty much all but sorted? I can't see FFDP, Lacuna, C&C, RA, BT and whatnot being announced at this stage. As always, I'm open to being proved wrong. In terms of l...

Re: March 5th Announcement (5PM!)

I'm really starting to regret buying a ticket now, this really isn't shaping up to be a great line-up for me. I love the headliners and subs, but I've seen all six of them multiple times before. There are about six or seven other bands I'd like to see, but I'm not exactly desperate and wouldn't be t...

Re: February 24th announcement.

Don't know if luckysalt has posted this here, but he said on the Download forums that Machine Head were supposed to be playing Sonisphere, however this is no longer the case and they will instead be doing their own tour later in the year.
