Re: Metal Hammer/Kerrang Ratings

I'd have given Maiden and Carcass an extra point. Other bands I saw were pretty spot on.

Re: The 2014 Rant Thread

The man upstairs could've made me a little taller and he was taking a bit of a tinkle when I rocked up Sat lunchtime. Yeah, could have done with better beer, was expecting a kick in the nuts pricewise there anyway. Other than that I don't really have anything to contribute to this thread. First ever...

Re: Goan Fish Curry £1 Water

They should have put a bigger sign up - the words fish curry and festival didn't sound like they should go together to me.
The bottle I paid 2.50 for was much colder than any other I got, I wanted that at the time.

Re: The weather...

So if the reports are correct (hahaha - yeah, right) the showers should clear upon my arrival late sat morning which means I brought the good weather with me and you should all thank me with beer :text-givemebeer:

Re: Camping alone

I'm getting there solo on sat. Only loner fest on this holiday. Done a few in the past, normally end up with a bunch of good mates by the end or even by the time I've got to fests on the train. Been warned about 'the british' at festivals but the crew I met on train and camped with at Graspop a few ...

Re: No Bands Clashing with Maiden

Maiden have demanded they not clash with the second stage in the past (Download) but if it's the same case for Metallica it could be the festival's doing, or both bands demanded it. In my case it means I won't have to miss someone cos I'm seeing Maiden. Would be good if there was something on other ...

Re: LockerHouse

Yeah, don't look good for a laptop. Site says 25cm wide 15.5cm deep 10cm high. At least that should do for travel documents and maybe my portable asthma respirator. Good thing I have a gooseberry laptop.
YAY! I finally said gooseberry on the forum.

Anyone used these lockers before? Will a laptop bag fit in there?

If you used See tickets get on their customer service site and message them that you want to pick up tickets at the fest. they confirmed with me in 10mins.

Re: The weather...

Hopefully we don't get heavy rain, few light showers are ok at fests as long as they aren't constant. Would appreciate it being dry Sat morning and Mon morning when I set up and pack down tho.

Re: How well do people reckon it's selling?

Of course I want the festival to do well for the organisers but part of me selfishly wants it not to be too big. I'm arriving on the sat as I'll be at Black Sabbath in Hyde Park on the fri then getting train down sat morning and I hope I can find a camping spot with minimal stress.

Re: Festival regrets/lessons learned

I REGRET NOTHING!!! (exept falling asleep & missing Mastadon) These are my exact thoughts from Soundwave in Australia this year :-) We prob shouldn't have drank all our supplies on the train to wacken in 08. I was too munted to set up my tent properly and by the end it looked like I was sleepin...

Re: Tickets Being Dispatched - SEE, Ticketmaster and more, o

Received a dispatch e-mail even tho the website info says all international visitors must pick them up on site - i'm over from Australia. Hope it's no problem picking them up at the box office as I'm already in Europe for Hellfest and Graspop beforehand. Got email a week ago but no word on them turn...
