Re: Recommendations of bands to see!

I'd recommend The Defiled. they're an Industrial metal (according to Wikipedia, I just think they're metal) and I love them.
They usually have a good show and are great to mosh to.

Re: Anyone else frustrated will BabyMetal?

Anyway, let's all be friends. :D Agreed: like the band or not: have a problem with them as a thing or not; we're all here because we like music in general. I like people being friends, and we may have contrasting opinions, but what the hey, no-ones mind is gonna be changed on here, so lets forget i...

Re: Anyone else frustrated will BabyMetal?

Lol, yes you can't make generalisations based on negative cultural stereotypes without being called racist these days. It's political correctness gone mad. Thank you dude. And the counter-argument of "Oh, you're calling me a racist! THATS original!" Is a stupid argument. I said its a bit ...

Re: Anyone else frustrated will BabyMetal?

FFS I can't believe people are trying to justify Babymetal as anything other than a deeply cynical (and creepy) marketing ploy. Schoolgirls singing j-pop over metal doesn't make it metal. Equally closing your eyes to the creepiness of a lot of Japanese culture (including this) doesn't make it right...

Re: Anyone else frustrated will BabyMetal?

Shouldn't we judge them as a band,r anther than the country and general music ideas of where they come from? If people like them: cool. if not: oh well. Also, people saying about them being a novelty band. Aren't Alestorm also a novelty band? And a lot of people love them, and you don't see many peo...

So excited!

Okay, well i've been on the forums for a while now, but I guess I am technically still 'new', so hey, I'm Rob. Usually a Downloader, but Sonnys line-up looked so much better this year, and I've been to Sonny on day tickets before, and it looks very awesome. Either way, I'm super excited, and maybe I...

Re: No Bands Clashing with Maiden

I'm legit confused. Iron Maiden are named after a torture device. they don't claim to be maidens. Its just a name. Black Sabbath have nothing to do with the date of that name, its just a cool name. As for Maidens sets; you have to expect a load of hits, with some lesser-known tunes thrown in; when y...

That just got me paranoid, so i checked my ticket.
It says Weekend + Camping (Gates open 3pm - 3rd July) which would be the early entry, and nothing extra.
Doesn't make the early entry part seem special, so I thought weekend included thursday?

Not being as active in chatting to randoms, especially the people near me.
And not going down the front for Slipknot, Iron Maiden and Korn (one I got nervous near the front (one of my first festivals), one I had my girlfriend with me and one I was just too lazy)

Yes on the baby wipes! So important. Also, I'd say duct tape.
Ripped tent: duct tape. Too hungover on monday to pack it away properly, duct tape it into a carry-able ball.

Re: The FAQ page, alcohol.

IMHO, why are people getting so wound up about it? First off, the rules are a decent guide for someone who doesn't drink very much, so its not like its stupid low. And second, anyone who actually considered it and used common sense would realise that with the thousands of people coming through the g...

When to leave?

Me and a friend are getting a lift down from Northamptonshire on the Thursday morning. I'm trying to work out when to leave.
