Re: Family Camping

As for showers – hello! you're a at a festival! yes i understand that, having been to festivals before, i came armed with baby wipes but there should be an option to have a shower if wanted/needed There was, it cost 2-50 It was 2-50 and an hour wait. Nowhere near enough showers for the campsites.

Re: Family Camping

You don't go to a festival to have a shower, if you want all these luxuries why not camp in VIP or get a room in a hotel. The toilets were cleaned enough There were plenty of water points The family camping site was perfect where it was, if it's right at the entrance it would suck, it would be a lo...

Re: Family Camping

is it only me then that is a bit miffed about the positioning of the family camp? family camping is meant to be furthest away from the arena to keep the noise levels to a minimum yet on that side family camping was the closest to the bohemia which was incredibly loud, whereas as other random campin...

Re: Food and Drink

Good variety, still would like to see something healthier - how hard would it be to have a pasta and salad stall or two? Something like that? Was expensive too in places, even moreso than usual festivals. I saw the baked potato stand - £2 for a baked potato, great, baked potato with fillings £5 not ...

Re: Bohemia Area

Very warm inside when busy, but was a fantastic atmosphere.

I thought Thunder in the tent was a touch of genius, the atmosphere was magnificent with people singing along.

Perhaps could do with being a touch bigger, and maybe have a bar inside in one corner or along the back or something.

Re: Stages and Tents

My other half Gem (PyratePrincess) couldn't see even the screens at the busier times such as during Metallica. Really ruins your weekend when you can't even see the bands. I was fine because I'm a bit of a giant so I can see over the top of everyone, but my other half is 5ft4 and she couldn't see ja...

Re: Merchandise

Ran out far far far too fast, I wanted the Metallica kicks British ass shirt in XL (being 6ft7 I need the length) and they had it nowhere. The helpful lady said "We have it in small though".

Wonderful, that will fit my arm.....

Re: Toilets

Toilets in family camping were sound, except for running out of bog roll once or twice - but thats to be expected. Urinals in the arena on the second day were foul, especially the one to the left of the main stage - it was 6 inches deep in mud created from piss overflowing from the urinals. Also, we...

Re: Security

No problems with security, they seemed friendly and helpful. Only gripe was the fact they seemed to all vanish during Metallica, when a fight kicked off next to me and my other half that was quite brutal.

Re: Dirty Little Rabbits pull out

Oh well, longer set for Corey then!

I wouldn't be suprised if part of the reason they pulled out was after they found out they were on at the same time as Limp Bizkit. Not slating them or saying Bizkit are great, but they aren't exactly going to get a huge crowd when LB are on.

Re: ID Help !?

I'm pretty sure a thread asking that exact question was just put up.

Upshot of it is no probably not, you will need the real thing, but that isn't an official line from Sonisphere.

Your best bet would be to ask someone from Sonisphere.

Driving Licence, Passport are the only two that I know for sure are ok.

Some of those "proveit" cards can be easily copied so people tend to ignore them.

I like the good old Anchorman quotes. The good old "LOUD NOISES" and "I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE'RE YELLING ABOUT"

Oh and who could forget "I ATE A BIG RED CANDLE"
