Re: Rumours Roundup: 2015

Meh possibly. To be fair I'm just praying for the day Muse or Foo Fighters (ROCK BANDS) come out of their comfort zones this year and play at rock festivals like Download or Sonisphere

Re: Rumours Roundup: 2015

Ok so my v good friend won a competition to be one of the crowd on the new AC/DC video shoot. He said the rumour there was (from people who were talking to the staff) was that DC and Slipknot are playing download, then when asked about Soni the reply was "I think Sabbath have signed up for tha...

Re: Rumours Roundup: 2015

Does anyone think there is a chance Maiden or Metallica could do either Soni or Download? I know they did this year, but nobody seems to be considering them at all, I'd actually be quite surprised if Maiden didn't do one, and obviously Metallica will have there new album out by then, so surely they...

Re: Bands you want to see at Sonisphere 2015

Headliners from any of Sabbath, Slipknot, Paramore, Guns N' Roses, NIN, Pendulum, Green Day, Tool, QOTSA or FNM. Would love these but in reality wouldn't get the likes of Muse, Foo's, AC/DC, SOAD, RATM for obvious reasons i.e. likely would cost too much or in some cases the bands look finished. In f...

Re: Rumours Roundup: 2015

I can see AC/DC doing Knebworth, but not Sonisphere, think they will end up doing stadium shows rather than festivals. Unless Download is desperate, I can't see them splashing the cash on them. Pretty sure AC said he would never book Guns N Roses unless it's a reunion. Sonisphere nearly had them in...

Re: Rumours Roundup: 2015

Download may as well announce Kiss and Slipknot right now, the most obvious bookings of next summer. No doubt we will have 6 months of Van Halen is the last headliner before Def Leppard gets drafted in. Slipknot are a given however I don't fancy Kiss for Download. I think another classic band i.e. ...

Re: February 24-28th announcement.

I think ADTR, Black Stone Cherry, Sylosis, MH and Billy Talent. Would wish for somebody like Shinedown but highly unlikely as they'd have been here twice in 6 months already :(

Charity Run & Sponsorship

Calling all of you good people! :music-deathmetal: :music-rockon: I am doing a 32.5 mile charity run for Cancer Research in April and I wondered if any of you good people would please donate for me to reach my minimum goal of at least £800. If you do donate no matter how big or small I appreciate it...

Re: Sonisphere UK 2014

There's really not a whole lot more to discuss when it comes to potential headliners though. The guys on the DLF exhausted themselves with festival maths for the same 10 bands for months before their announcement, and now we have confirmation of Sonisphere being alive again, those bands are being r...

Re: Sonisphere UK 2014

Yeah that was in 2012 though I think as everyone was banging on about them doing smaller festivals in 2013 which I'm not sure they've even done, probably a nightmare though booking to play a festival in case it cancels when they could just do their own show to 100k+ people.

Re: Sonisphere UK 2014

Obviously not all haha! 3 of those lot. I hate PJ too but everyone seems to want them so, Metallica is just the normal lazy booking so that's a given, Slipknot I also hate however you couldn't ever rule it out, Sabbath is just a massive YES! SOAD are a fair option I think and probably not too expens...

Re: Sonisphere UK 2014

I think SOAD, Guns 'N Roses, Sabbath, Slipknot, Metallica and Pearl Jam have to be the most likely. Very small chance AC/DC would happen too however they'd play to more if they picked another venue just for their own show sadly.

Re: 2014 Headliners

I think Pearl Jam will headline 'Sonisphere' if that's what it is and it remains like it was, they're also meant to be touring around during that time.

most definitely seems as they never p off! I do love seeing them live but it'd be nice for something different although they're the most generic and likely as one of the headliners unfortunately.

Re: Sonisphere UK 2014

Well after watching A7x at Rock in Rio I'm very hyped to see them, the Linkin Park thing suits me perfect, FoB are a bit of fun. And then Alter bridge are my favourite band followed by my 2nd favourite classic band only outdone by Guns 'N Roses.

Re: 2014 Headliners

Yeah but it's so easy to throw the name AC/DC around but even more likely for it not to happen than to actually happen. Sabbath is 50/50 I think and PJ just would make sense on gaining downloads loss seems as they didn't book them which caused a bit of a kick up

Re: 2014 Headliners

I think Metallica, Maiden, Guns N' Roses, RATM, Sabbath, Kiss, Tool, Rush, SOAD all are unlikely for some reason or another for me despite being possibilities. Pearl Jam I'd say are most likely as the big band.

Re: Sonisphere UK 2014

Download really does it for me so unless Sonisphere (if that's what it is) pulls two classic bands like Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Maiden etc. then I'm out already I think. Although with people like Pearl Jam they have a massive chance to steal from Download with an announcement in the next 3-4 weeks.
