Re: WWE

Triple H needs to stop coming out at the start of EVERY show and cutting a 10-20min promo. Kick off with a match for god sake, although on Raw it will only be a 2min one at that.

Re: 2012 repeats

Anthrax have played every year so kind of need a break. If Metallica headline next year it will be such lazy booking.

Re: Acts boosted to headline status for 2012?

Alter Bridge need another album I would say, and with Creed releasing a new album in early 2012 they wont.

They are my favourite modern day band & I would orgasm if they were announced, but I cant see it happening. Slash & Myles will play either Download or Soni though!!!

Could try the Soni main website. Maybe they will have a list of merch.

I thought the t-shirts were crap this year to be honest.

Re: Worst 5 of the Weekend

Problem I found with Mastodon is that their singing was awful, but musically it was brilliant. Their best song is the one which they actually sing in (Oblivion) & they didnt even play it.

I still enjoyed them though.

Re: Worst 5 of the Weekend

I just liked the way Biffy came out & played & it was pretty much frakk you guys who thought we shouldnt be here. I can imagine the buzz they had on the tour bus on the way to T in the Park. I never saw Slipknot because I went to see The Answer instead. They started at roughly the same time ...

Biffy were probably the highlight of the week-end for me. Just because of the whole circumstances surrounding them.

Re: Worst 5 of the Weekend

I found Lemmy really hard to watch between songs: starting to speak and then forgetting what he was saying That was the first time I've seen Lemmy like that (I've seen the band about 9 or 10 times over the years). Kinda wondered if his mind was a bit elsewhere after the news about Würzel passing aw...

The Mars Volta - That was possibly the worst singer I have ever heard in my life....and all I was doing was walking past the stage. Weezer - I nearly fell asleep. Slayer - Was like getting smacked in the head with a hammer. Megadeth - I just cannot stand Dave Mustaine House of Pain - Just sounded l...

The slope on the left hand side as you look at it annoyed me a bit.

Also, the narrowness when walking to the Apollo stage. It seemed very crammed.

Re: Top 5 of the weekend

Biffy Clyro - blew me away. They just didnt give a frakk (excuse my french) what people thought of them & they were fantastic. Just came out & played an amazing set. Vintage Trouble - loved hearing a bit of blues :) The Answer - Something the festival needed. I was getting a bit sick of meta...

Who are Spectrum Rock Band?

Im not sure if you noticed, but there were bloody loads of Spectrum Rock Band stickers plotted around at Sonisphere over the week-end. Anyway, I went onto facebook and found their page and this is their material. http://www.facebook.com/#!/spectrumband Sounds quite good I think. Very Free/Led Zeppel...

Re: 2012 headliners?

Hopefully there will be a new A7X album, possibly BFMV then I think it is pretty much certain that BFMV will headline Download in a year or two. Their promoter loves them & if their next album is a success then they will definately. Not a fan of them at all like, but I think they are definately...
