Re: 'Sonipshere 2012 Cancelled' Rumours

Wasn't going this year, but it's still pretty sad to see this happen. With Sonisphere Italy being cancelled too, it doesn't look good for them. I hope they can make a recovery, as last year was such a good festival.

Saw them last year and loved it. About time they played Sonisphere UK too.

I thought they were finished... Anyhow, I'd love to see them, but I doubt they'll be at Sonisphere any time soon.

That'd have to be Sonisphere and Download for me. The Prodigy would be amazing headliners.

As much as I'd love to go, I really can't afford it D: It's just too expensive.

One of the best bands at Download '10 for me. I'd love to have them at Sonisphere, especially to make it Corey's 4th Sonisphere in a row.

Gallows were one of my favourites of the weekend too. They always put everything into their performances, so that's why they get good reviews, not just "because it's Gallows".

Re: Negative Feedback

Most of the security were far too aggressive with crowdsurfers. We know where to go and we don't need to be thrown around. Also the time between Apollo and Saturn bands was a bit of a bitch. Also the sound for Bill Bailey was really bad, but that comes down to the weather.

Re: Performance Overview for Sonisphere 2011

Friday Diamond Head - Only saw the last few songs, but what I did see was really impressive - 6/10 Anthrax - Top notch set. Got the Big Four ball rolling very well - 7/10 Megadeth - Great riffs and sing alongs. Took a few songs to get into their stride, but once they did it was brilliant - 8/10 Sla...

London Calling, although it doesn't fit with either classic rock or metal.

The masks are one of the key things about Slipknot and always have been. They're never going to do a gig without them. Even one song would be unlikely, but I guess will have to wait and see until videos start going round of their show in Greece on Friday.

Re: 2012 headliners?

I think Korn definitely have the songs and the amazing live show to headline. Probably not big enough now, but after another album, they could maybe be big enough to headline.
