Re: Sonisphere 2017

How about 10 Years Of Sonisphere in 2019?
Well it would only be 4 years of actual events in total but they could market it as such and then cancel it.

Re: Sonisphere 2017

GnR presale... £84 upper tier seats - none left £94 standing/unreserved seats - none left £138 lower tier seats - available! Think I'll be giving it a miss but general sale is tomorrow so there will probably be a few if people get in early. Depends on the support bands but I suppose it would cost ab...

Re: Sonisphere 2017

Good to see there is still some people keeping the faith!
I'd be surprised to see Maiden at Knebworth after a full UK tour but stranger things have happened.

Re: Sonisphere 2016

Would love to see Maiden and Jane's Addiction but it will be virtually impossible to enjoy both without missing a big chunk of either set to avoid the mass transit between stages.

Re: Sonisphere 2016

The Soni UK site is still a Wordpress site but it now looks like it has been broken, abandoned or is having content shifted around.
Bit of a mess.

Re: Sonisphere 2016

It's been 18 months since the last UK Soni and if you can't get organised in that time and put a lineup together then either the world is against you and your competitors are doing a great job of ruining your event or you are not trying hard enough! Either way I would prefer that they just ditch the...

Re: Sonisphere 2016

The slope never really bothered me. Up close you don't notice and from afar its only likely to upset those that must have everything neat and tidy and spirit level flat, which I do understand. There are many other things that dobother me but I'm not going to go on about that now cos I'm enjoying a n...

Re: Sonisphere 2017

Well that may well be true about the headliners but I think festival organisers always assume that punters want the biggest and therefore most expensive bands in the top slots. I'd prefer interesting acts that don't play quite as often. Curve ball acts if you will. Unfortunately, it seems UK organis...

Re: Sonisphere 2016

Red Rooster. Although I'll be doing that whatever happens over in Knebworth.

The trouble with one dayers at Knebworth is the travel and parking scenario. Not enough late trains to get people home and horrible organisation in the car parks. I know the bands and promoters don't care about those things.

Re: Sonisphere 2016

If I were Sonisphere, I would book AC/DC, Pearl Jam and Bring Me The Horizon. If GnR were available then ditch PJ. (I prefer PJ but GnR is the bigger draw) It's all doable and we've seen from previous years that if the headliners cost too much, then ditch the second stage on the Friday. Or even dit...

Since the split, Slash has released acclaimed metal albums with his band Slash’s Snakepit

Re: Sonisphere 2016

I'd certainly prefer it if AC/DC or GnR played Milton Keynes as opposed to Wembley as I don't like it as a gig venue. Not as big but much better for everything else (except public transport!). As for Soni, the well is running dry. I can't see why any festival which should have been in the planning f...

Re: Sonisphere 2016

I doubt that other festival organisers could give two hoots about an event (Soni) that isn't even officially running in 2016. I suppose there could be a big tour announcement from a particular band which holds things up in order to get all the dates out there in one go... Clutching at straws now tho...
